Sesame seeds (and forms of them, including tahini, which is fundamentally sesame seed butter) are a white-hot resource of calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, selenium and fiber. Sesame is comparatively high in fat and lipids, but first and foremost in the heart-healthy mono- and polyunsaturated forms. Polyphenols in sesame seeds may also help out to make the cholesterol decrease and blood pressure and hold up immunity.
